While many think of road trips as vacations, my most memorable trips are the ones I take with my dogs to Bundy Hill. It is the highest point in Isabella County, and the view from the top is beautiful. Along the trails, there are educational signs that talk about the history of the area, which adds to the experience as we walk.

When we reach the summit, we find those massive granite boulders that are perfect for taking pictures. It is a quiet place where you can really get one-on-one with your dogs and nature, often seeing deer moving through the trees. I especially love going there in the summertime. In the evenings, there are so many fireflies flickering around the giant boulders that it is truly a neat sight to see.

Watching a Great Dane explore in a setting like that is a reminder of why I love the breed so much. It is about the bond we build when we are out in the world together. If anyone would like to go hiking there, I always offer for them to get a hold of me so I can take them along.
