• The “Come Home” Policy: At Duty Danes, our commitment to every puppy extends throughout the dog’s lifetime. No Duty Danes dog should ever be abandoned, left on the streets, or surrendered to an animal shelter or rescue because an owner can no longer provide care. As outlined in our puppy purchase contract, the owner agrees not to sell, give away, or otherwise dispose of the dog by transferring ownership or possession to another person, dealer, retailer, auction, institution, or other entity for any reason without following the contractual requirements. If circumstances change and an owner can no longer keep their Duty Danes dog, the dog must be returned to Duty Danes through a signed written relinquishment agreement. The owner may not independently sell, rehome, give away, or surrender the dog to a shelter or rescue organization. This policy is intended to protect every Duty Danes dog from abandonment, inappropriate placement, and uncertainty about its future. We take our responsibility to our dogs seriously and want every one of them to have a safe, stable, and loving future. A Duty Danes dog is family for life. If you cannot keep your dog, contact Duty Danes so we can discuss the proper return and relinquishment process.
