At Duty Danes, our priority is to ensure every Great Dane lives a happy and fulfilling life. On rare occasions, one of our dogs may become available for rehoming. This can happen for a couple of reasons: sometimes a family’s life circumstances change, and they need to find a new home for their dog. We also believe that our breeding dogs, who have given us so much, deserve a life of leisure in a loving retirement home. They are not just breeding dogs for us; they are part of our family, and their well-being is our top priority.
The decision to rehome a dog is never taken lightly. To ensure a smooth transition and the best possible match, we use a comprehensive rehoming contract. This process helps ensure that each dog is placed with a family that will provide them with a secure and loving environment for the rest of their lives.

If you know the name, you know the power. Our magnificent Great Dane, Meleys, is ready to find her forever throne. She is a regal, soulful girl who will be 3 years old this August, and she is looking for a loyal “Dragonrider” to call her own.
The Golden Rule for Meleys: Meleys is a true Queen and she does not share her realm with other females. She is looking for a home where she is either the only dog or has a male dog companion. No other female dogs, please—she deserves to be the only goddess in the house!
A Special Opportunity for the Right Home: Our priority is finding Meleys the perfect, loving environment. Because her placement is so important to us, we are willing to waive her rehoming fee to the right applicant, provided there is a signed agreement to have her spayed. She is a high-quality girl, and we want to ensure she settles into a pet-only lifestyle where she can be pampered.
