Three Objects I Could Not Live Without
When thinking about the kennel and my work, three things stand out as tools I rely on every day.
First is my whelping kit. It represents the start of everything, containing the supplies needed to ensure a litter begins life safely. This kit is a reminder of the responsibility I have to the mother and her puppies during those first hours.
Second is my puppy curriculum. This is the foundation of everything I do with the litters at the kennel. It provides the structure for early neurological stimulation and socialization, ensuring each puppy has the right start to become a stable and confident service or companion dog. Without this guide, I wouldn’t be able to track their progress and help them reach their full potential.
Third is my laptop. This is the command center for my entire operation. I use it to complete my degree in Animal Health and Behavior at Unity Environmental University, manage the Duty Danes website, and handle all our social media. It is the bridge between the hands-on work in the kennel, my education, and connecting our dogs with the community.
