Daily Writing Prompt: Fate and Destiny
When breeding Great Danes, it often feels like more than just planning goes into matching a puppy with a family. You spend weeks studying temperaments and watching personalities grow, but the moment a specific dog connects with their new owner, it can feel like it was meant to be. This idea of destiny is clear when a puppy naturally steps into a role as a service dog or a loyal companion without much effort.
My belief in this path started when I met Tovi, my own psychiatric service dog. Meeting him changed everything and made me realize that my destiny was to help other people who are dealing with mental health issues. Even with all the health testing and careful selection, there are times when a family and a puppy choose each other in a way that seems as if it were decided long ago. These connections are what make the work at Duty Danes feel like more than just a job; it is about seeing the right life paths cross at the right time, creating a bond that lasts for years.
